Kidpreneur Started Organic Pet Treats Business at 8 Years Old

Ava is a dynamo Kidpreneur, who founded her own pet treats business when she was just eight years old. Here’s what Ava had to say about her rescue furbaby, Lacy, who is the inspiration for Ava’s organic pet treats brand called Ava’s Pet Palace.

“I love my Lacy so much! I've loved dogs and all animals for as long as I can remember. My grandparents had a pup that I grew up with. He went to doggy heaven when he was 18 and I was 10, so I had a relationship with him for a long time! After asking and asking, my parents finally let me foster a few pups. I was so happy!

And when we got Lacy from Magnificent Mutts & Meows where I had fostered two other dogs, I knew she was mine! Lacy has taught me so much. When we adopted her, she had recently had puppies, seemed to be very scared of men and other dogs and she was a little shy.

Lacy has taught me how to be patient and how to love her. She taught me how to be responsible and how to take care of her. I learned how to train her and how to be a good dog owner! She has helped me with my treats by being my taste tester too! Now, she has my two little sisters to love too.

Lacy is a little protective over us and still barks at random dogs, but it's been really cool to see how she's grown over the last few years! Now that I'm at home all day for school, she's my new classmate too!”
